School of Economics is equipped with the major of economics and now, in view of the social and economic development needs, it has been classified into four professional categories, including economics, securities investment, financial management, and financial accounting, initially forming a professional system with a full and rational structure.
School of Economics is one of majors that our school gives a priority to their professional construction, and in view of the needs of the social and economic development in Guangdong province and surrounding areas, this major is committed to the cultivation of senior applied talents who can pick up a solid knowledge of economic theory and related economic and technical analysis skill, and can work on economic analysis, forecast and management in the comprehensive economic management departments, policy research departments, financial institutions and enterprises.
School of Economics, on the one hand, optimizes the campus teaching curriculum system and strengthens professional teaching based on simulation experiment, encourages students to participate in all kinds of activities such as science and technology competitions held in cities, provinces and countries, organizes students to get a variety of professional qualification certificates on the other hand, the department is striving to promote the development of majors and let them top other schools of its kind in the whole province via strengthening the practice teaching outside the campus and the graduation thesis guidance, fostering and training students’ ability to solve practical problems after a period of efforts.
